Kevin is the blacksmithing instructor at Kootenay School of the Arts in Nelson. He also creates beautiful metal sculptures, sometimes in co-operation with others.
Kevin started the day by forging a frying pan from a 8″ x 12 ga. blank, and riveted on a forged handle. Then it was our turn. The forges were cranked up and the hammers were pounding as most of those present had a go.
The one-day event ended with a BBQ, a KBA meeting and an auction.
