2010 – Marcus Engler

Our demonstrator at the Spring conference at Kootenay Forge in Crawford Bay was Marcus Engler from Montana. His main demonstration was forging a contemporary table made of a series of large pieces (3/8″ x 3″) with offsets so they slide together in a woven pattern. Marcus demonstrated his very skilled forging ability that was required to get all the offsets the right distances apart.

Marcus finished off his demonstration by making a pair of fish.

FALL 2010 MEETING

The fall meeting was held once again in Windermere at the shop of Gunner Jorgensen. This will be the last meeting at Gunner’s as he is officially retiring and is selling most of his tools and equipment. We wish Gunner the happiest of retirements, and we are sure we will see him at some of our future meetings. Photos to follow.
